Welcome to Bob Ancell’s website!

Bob has had a hand in the written word all of his adult life. His first magazine article - a profile of noted Santa Fe resident Ambassador Patrick J. Hurley - was published, at the age of eighteen, in New Mexico Magazine in 1960. Over the years he has written for national and regional magazines, journals and daily newspapers primarily on the subjects of military history and leadership. During more than six years with KOB TV in Albuquerque he was editor and producer of the top-rated Eyewitness News and dual-hatted writer/photographer of several award-winning television documentaries.

Following a distinguished career as a magazine editor-in-chief and publisher, Bob moved into writing books in the early Nineties. He is working on volumes II and III of his successful Four-Star Leadership for Leaders series as well as The Tremendous Power of Persistence.

Bob resides in Norfolk, Virginia, just two blocks from the Lafayette River.
